Kinzua stocking info

I received a text this morning regarding some Kinzua stocking info from a NY resident. Here is what it said:

Red, just came off of the lake. Found out they stocked 5400 12 to 14 inch Huskies yesterday in Kinzua.1800 each at Elijah, Wolf Run, and Willow Bay. Makes me wonder if they also stocked the river. Also found out they stocked bass in the reservoir. Thought you might want to know.

Bass stocking seems odd. Does fish and boat suspect declining population?

Good question. According to the person who sent me the text, I am suppose to be getting a call from the head honcho of the warmwater fisheries side of the Fish Commish to discuss the state of the musky fishery in this section of the river. If this happens, I will find out the answer to the bass question as well.
