Adam and Dave had 11 or 12 (there may have been 1 fish that stopped by 2X but not sure) different muskies show themselves ranging between 24” and 45” and Dave caught 1 of them. As luck would have it, he caught the smallest one.:). This low, clear water is tough to get anyone to eat near the boat. We had zero musky action between noon and 2pm but we did catch a legal walleye and very legal smallie on musky baits.

The floating/suspending algae is all over the river bottom but the floating stuff is pretty calm for now. As soon as we get some higher flows, I am guessing it will begin to really tear loose again. Water temps have cooled a little with the cold nights and cooler days. We were suppose to be chasing walleye today but without the option to keep baits along the bottom, I decided to reschedule the non-musky trips to later this summer with fingers crossed.

Be careful out there in that skinny water. The CFS is at 1300-ish but with the incoming tributaries in drought conditions, 1300 seems like 1100 south of Warren.

Good luck and stay tuned!
