Robert and his new bride decided to chase muskies on Friday morning. Robert had a nice musky take a swing on his surface bait but missed about an hour into the trip. Around 9:30, his new bride (already forgot her name) had the largest and heaviest fish I have seen in a couple of years, charge the boat and do a half-turn in the 8 but never committed. I was super impressed with her composure as I coached her through the 8.
After that experience (and a quick diaper change :)), she asked me how big that fish was. My conservative answer was “at least 48 and over 30 pounds”.
I am planning to chase muskies again on Monday but will likely have to push it to Tuesday if the crazy forecast holds up.
Stay tuned and good luck!
