Friday was a really tough 6 hours for us as Dan missed a nice pike around 11 and that was all the action we could produce. It felt and looked like a cold front with very little visible life in the water or the air.
Sunday was better as we had some pretty good rain showers mixed into the morning. Brian had a very hot musky miss his bait at boatside, slammed into the boat and was gone in a split second………that fish was in the low 40’s and was the only fish we saw. We quit at noon.
I’ll do my last Esox trip of the summer on Tuesday. The boat has been running great after finally figuring out what the problem was. The river is low and the vegetation is growing out there. Hopefully, the rain helped increase the Reservoir levels so the docks can stay in longer.
