Weekend report....11/29

No luck so far, 0-2 on Saturday. Got of the lake early to go to the SIU football playoff game. Dawgs lost and no ski's! Casted for a lil while then decided to take some advice from the the pro himself and trolled. But no luck. Ah there's always tomorrow.

Hey Chris,

After trolling for about six hours with no luck, and bored out of our minds, my client and I switched to casting. Glad we did!! We moved 8 fish, missed a couple on gliders, lost one on a glider, had several follows, lost an upper 40 on a Mag Nutbuster, and boated a 47.5" on a Mag Nutbuster on a figure 8!! That was a blast! We heard of a 48.5" getting caught trolling, along with a 47". Some nice fish on Kinkaid this fall!!

I've read that spinner baits can still be successful in the late fall. So here's the question, since the water temps continue to drop and the fish don't seem to chase down lures as much, are you slowing down your retrieve. Did you get a chance to snap some pics with your client? If so, let’s see some pics of those ski's! Always motivates me to get back out there after getting whopped.

We were doing a pretty slow to medium speed retrieve on the Mag Nutbusters. I will try to get some pics up here soon. The guy who got the 48.5 emailed me the picture, I just have to figure out how to make the file size smaller.
