Fishing has been good in the Tomahawk Area with very good reports on the panfish.
Weatherman says Snow all week?
Ice Conditions are anywhere from 13 to 16 inches.
Some areas do have slush.
Reports are good Bluegill action. Use Mousies or Wigglers for bait. Lake Alice or the Spirit Flowage have a good bite this week. Size of Gills are nice.
Crappies report, fair to good. Lake Mohawksin, Willow Flow. and Somo, all are seeing some action. Deeper water and suspended. Use tip Downs with Small Golden Shiners or Rosies.
Perch Bite is fair, but the size of the Perch are very nice 11 to 12 inch Perch have been common this week. Anglers on Cresent Lake are doing very well. Wigglers are the hot bait!
Walleye reports this week have been slow. We have been spending the evening hours fishing the rocky points on Lake Mohawksin this week and nothing but undersized fish. Action was good but no size to them. Heard over on Lake Alice the Walleye fishing was pretty good with a 27 and a 25 on Monday.
Pike anglers are catching nice Pike in the 22 to 30 inch size. Use Large Shiners with red treble hooks. Just fish the weed edges in the bays for action, if looking for large Pike fish the deeper structure. Very good pike reports from Lake Nokomis and Somo.
