Northern action is excellent in the Eagle River area. Fish 15 feet of water
or less in and around the weeds. Use a large northern sucker or larger
shiner under a tip-up, or fish with a larger Buckshot Rattle Spoon. Lots of
fish in the mid 20s with a few trophies mixed in. It's an all day bite for
the northern.

The walleye bite in the Eagle River area continues to be quite good. Fish
25 feet of water or less on the steep break edges. Use a walleye sucker or
medium shiner under a tip-up, or try a jigging Rapala or Buckshot Rattle
Spoon. Late afternoon into the evening provides the best bite. Mixed bag
with some trophies and a lot of eaters.

Panfish action is good in the Eagle River area, with a mixed bag on sizes.
Anglers are sorting, but getting plenty for the frying pan.

Perch are in and around the weeds in 15 feet of water or less or are
cruising mud flats in 25 feet of water or less. Take your choice for spots
to fish. Use a small jig tipped with a spike, waxies or fathead.

Bluegills are in 15 feet of water or less, in and around the weeds. Use a
small jig tipped with a waxie or spike.

For crappies, fish two areas - - either in and around the weeds in 15 feet
of water or less, or find e crappies suspending around structure over mud
flats in 25 feet of water or less. Use a crappie minnow, spike or waxie
under a slip bobber.
