Out of these choices I tend to lean on the temp,It can get cold in my portable when its below 10F.2nd would be wind.

For me its the wind. If in the east I have a real hard time making myself go at all. I know the old saying & I believe it. If warm & windy I'll go, but 7 deg & 25 mph like there calling for this weekend I'll stay home. The moon phase also affects fishing in my mind, never liked a full moon, huntin or fishing. Thats my 2 cents.

Hey Rudy.Hows every thing?Got your trollin spoons all polished and ready for open water.Ill have to get out with ya here soon.Sucks that I dont get off work till 5 but the daylight hours will only get longer.

Time is a big factor, followed by the wind, and a close 3rd is the WIFE. Any solutions for my 3rd factor?? :)

Heck ya.. keep lookin at the boat and wishin.. lol... Hard Water Eye will keep me sane.
Got out today for awhile south of Gladstone.. REAL Slow! Managed a nice one about 19-20.. another Hog at 27-28" and about 7lbs. and a nice size perch.(12") A few short hits and two lost after hook set well that was from 8:30 to 2:00.. spotted em in streaks.. 28 FOW Red Tiger glow rap.

Wind affects me the most, Temperature is a close second though. A windy day on the ice is COLD. Even when your in a shack it can still get the best of you when your chasing the tip-ups. Of course the thing that really affects me is time, seems like I can't find the time to do some good, hard fishing.
