For many years I fished for Spring Walleye near the Dam at Petenwell. Yes I was one of the multitude who gathered there each Spring.
However, in recent years it's been very difficult, if not impossible, to go home with a keeper.

I have now attempted to find some keepers up on the Petenwell Lake.

Engaging in conversation with some of the fellows at the local barber shop they tell me one of the best places in that area is around the first set of marker buoys.
( going North from the Dam towards Nekoosa )
