Upcoming fishing tournaments

I know the "Jig It" tourney is this upcoming weekend and the Jug Bourdeau is next weekend....but has anyone heard when the Jack LaPine tourney will take place? I live in Marinette and I do not get to hear the local talk anymore.

As far as the fishing on the Menominee river.... it has been spotty for me. Some days you can catch your limit and other days they are just lookers. I have lost more jigging raps this year to the damn sturgeon. I use a Aqua-Vu and the sturgeon are big....ugly.....and everywhere.

Sad to say the Lapine derby is no more. They haven't held it for a few years now. "Jig it" and the "Jug" are the only two right now. I know of a third that's in the works. I'll post something as soon as I get the details.

When you say the sturgeon are everywhere, what part of the Menominee are you fishing? Are you below the dam in Marinette/Menominee?
