Dick anyword on those prototype reels you were testing last year??

Think Dick might be away a few days, but if it's the reel I think you mean, I used one for a while last season, and ws pretty impressed. I did not put enough hours on it to give it two thumbs up, but so far, I like it.

Frank, I have no idea what reels they were, will they be on the market this year? How did they hold up to the big blades?

If I remember right, the Abu Garcia REVO Winch is the new reel that you are looking for. It is supposed to be one of the strongest low profile reels ever built and is, if not very similar to, the prototype reel that Dick used this summer. Hopefully he'll correct me if I'm wrong on that, which does happen quite a bit. They look pretty sweet, even to a shimano diehard such as myself. I'd probably put down one of my calcuttas to try one out if I'm given the opportunity.
