I'm planning a trip up in the last weekend of Febuary to check out the Mine Ponds and was wondering how its been. Also are there any good locations to try for some Walleye, Perch, or Crappie on any local lakes up there?

The last weekend of February might be a good one if the weather keeps up the warming trend. The mine Ponds would be a good choice to try but do not forget our favorite Lake Antoine and Cowboy Lake. Bluegill and Crappie have been hitting wax worms but the walleye has been slow. No one can promise fishing results three weeks in advance but the odds are better than the middle of January.
