An email I just received from the folks at The Next Bite. The economy is hurting everyone, and the fishing business is no exception.

To our Valued TNB-EA Magazine Customer,
By now you would have normally received both the Winter and Ice issues of the magazine.
Unfortunately, the current crisis that has shaken our economy has hit the fishing and publishing industries as well. By pure chance, a critical advertising deadline for our first ice fishing issue, set months before, fell just days after the Wall Street collapse that helped send our economy, and our industry, steamrolling downhill.
Like many other businesses, we decided at the time that the prudent business decision in the midst of a high degree of uncertainty was to hold off a bit and wait until the dust settled before we moved ahead. We’re still waiting. Delaying an issue we’d worked very hard on and were frankly pretty excited about was a difficult and disappointing decision, but in hindsight, probably a wise one.
In the end, rather than abandon our ice issue completely, we chose to combine it with our regular Winter issue. By the time you receive this, the winter issue of TNB-Esox Angler will be off the presses, and on its way to your door.
As a result of these changes in the printing schedule, and in lieu of an ice-only issue, TNB-EA will be adding an additional issue of the magazine to your current subscription.
