Because of the rain, out internet has been down the past couple of days.
Our outing !!
It started out on Friday with all of us going up to a remote lake for Lake Trout, we did fair, the numbers were down from previous, but we did land and released a 32 inch 12-14 lb trout, a think he was using a white tube. Great job Bill!! We also caught 3-4 smaller trout, and finished out the day fishing for trout on Crow, and caught a half a dozen more and missed at least a half a dozen at the hole. That at least gave us enough donated fish for our fish fry on Saturday night.
On Saturday we started out fishing on Crow Lake for trout we went east for a half a day we brought home eleven fish and lost at least six. We came in for a great hot lunch, and finished the day fishing for Crappies on Lake of the Woods most everyone did well, some did exceptionally well. We did so well a second day of Crappie fishing was not necessary. We then came in for a great fish dinner that Brett prepared he also made the homemade coleslaw, Robin made the homemade fries, there is nothing better than fresh cooked fish a few beers (quite a few) and great company. After a few struggled to wake up in the morning on Sunday everyone managed to fish a bonus half day with Brett and Robin. Everyone was able to take home a trout and crappies.
We would also like to thank Robin, Jake, and Paul for guiding.
I want to thank Thorne Bros.and Brett Erickson and you can go to their website at www.thornebros.com to find out what tackle and gear were used on this outing or call 763-572-3782 or email at info@thornebros.com.
I would also like to thank all of you that were our guests Scenic tackle, Jeremy, Paul, Jim, James, Mike, Dave, Shaun, Bill and Don. Thank you everyone for participating in our Thorne Bros. outing. Hopefully you learned a little bit, a few of you were interested in joining us next year.
