Jerry just recently read your article in Midwest Outdoors Wisc. section and wanted to compliment you on a great article on Castle Rock and Petenwell, I also struggled last year during warmer summer months trying to catch walleyes of any size. Regarding sturgeon in the castle rock waters, wanted to inform you that I did catch a sturgeon late last spring between Petenwell dam and hwy. 21 bridge while fishing for walleyes. It was appox. 22# long. We took a picture and released it. I always look forward to your articles each month in midwest outdoors and frequent this site several times a week.
