My brother and I have been going to Patoka for crappies on spring break for several years now. Since we've become obsessed with muskies, we now want to hit some of the places in the southern part of the state that we've heard about, namely Plover and Bass Lakes. I read with interest AlgaeKilla's excellent post from last November, but would really like some basic info on how to get there, what to expect, what's a good spring pattern, can I easily launch my 16 ft Starcraft?, etc. Any information or advice would be appreciated. We're coming down March 23-25 and will spend one day on Patoka and one on Monroe fishing for inferior species, leaving a day for ski's. Thanks!
