Ice conditions on our local lakes seemed to have survived our bad weather over the weekend, with the exception of some shoreline deterioration. Also some of the current areas are starting to open up, such as the Yahara river on Lake Monona, also where the river flows into Lake Waubesa.
Bluegills continue to bite out from Olin Park on Lake Monona, and we've been receiving good reports on Lake Waubesa by Goodland Park, Lake Farm Park, and also by Hog Island. Perch have also been reported to be active this past weekend off of Hog Island. Bluegill continue to be caught on Monona Bay and in the Triangle.
