The panfish in the Eagle River area are providing some terrific action for
ice anglers. Most of the fish are in the same general area.
In the Eagle River area, fish crappies in 35 feet of water or less over mud
flats. The crappies are suspending 2 to 6 feet off the bottom. Use a
minnow, wxies or spike under a slip bobber, or hooked up to a jig.
Bluegills in the Eagle River are in 25 feet of water or less, suspending 2
to 6 feet off the bottom over mud flats. Waxies or spikes on a teardrop jig
are working real well.
For perch in the Eagle River area, fish 35 feet of water or less over
mudflats. The perch are hanging right on the bottom. Use a crappie minnow,
waxie, spike or wiggler under a slip bobber.
Ice anglers are getting these same fish shallow, BUT, the deeper bite is
much better right now. Mixed bag of sizes on all fish, but there are some
real nice ones being caught.
