Chad Pinnow sent us this report and pics from the end of the season.
Chris, I’ve attached a couple large size picture for you to post on the website. I was up last weekend and we did well for “quality” fish, just not “quantity” of fish. I managed to get this 29” 9.5lb walleye for the wall using a 7-8” sucker on a tip-up. I also landed a 25”, couple “undersized” walleyes jigging, lost another big fish in the hole on a tip-up w/sucker, and pulled the sucker out of another heavy fish on a tip-up. The other two guys in my group caught a northern, lawyer, and a couple slot size walleyes. They each had trips on the tip-ups that were heavy fish on the end of the line, but both got broke off, from using light line and pressuring the fish. I don’t mess around and was using 20lb mono for a leader.
We spent most of our time fishing in 12-13 feet of water off the Days River. We did prospect around a lot and had some action in the deeper areas of the lake.
