The river is now ice free and a some boats have started hitting the water with limited success. Water temps are for the most part 36-38 degrees so keep your jigging action slow.
The Ranger is rigged and ready to go! I have a few days in early April available so if you are looking for an early season trip, now is the time to call.
Some fish are being taken near Joe Louis arena on the Michigan side as well as Great Lakes steel and the ever popular Trenton channel. Both live bait(minnows) and plastics are catching a few fish. Look for things to heat up as the water warms just a bit more!
I just got back from the Toronto Sportsman show and I am looking forward to trying some of the great new plastics from Big Bite Baits. They also have a BIO plastic that will NOT dry out and looks awesome. Check them out at www.bigbitebaits.com
