Just in case you didn't hear, I was reminded that the legislation to enact an early catch and release musky season in the northern counties has been rescinded. All it takes now is a stroke of the governors pen and it will go away (at least until next time someone tries to get it going again). Even in the unlikely event that the governor doesn't sign the bill there would be no early season this year because the DNR never acted on it or put anything in place to make it happen.
Regardless of how you feel about the issue of an early season a lot of folks were very upset at how this rule change was "back-doored" on the coat-tails of last years budget bill.
