After 35 years of summer fishing, I decided to make a visit in February.
All I can say is that winter in Canada was so absolutely amazing that the trip blew away all expectations that I had. I thought I loved it up here before....
Of course, I had to make a stop at my second home at the Haven (Cabin 2).
Highlights:
Standing on Bald Rock
Lake is much smaller when not restricted to water
City of ice fishing sheds out by Cyclone Point
9 Lb Trout on Crow
Almost catching a 36" Northern on a croppie rod with 4lb test (I somehow got him in the lip with a croppie jig).
I highly recommend going up there at least once in the winter.
