spawning question?

I am gonna be fishing castle rock may 1st to the 3rd, goin for bass obviously, any tips on some good spots?...Also im a rookie bowfisherman, im trying to remember when the carp spawn happend last summer, im thinkin early june, but im not sure. any ideas?
