bass fishing

i have lived on "The Rock" for a few yrs now and im still trying to find out a little bit more on bass fishing. i typically fish the rock wall along the southern dam. i dont do bad but the size of the fish are typically smaller. any advice as to anywhere else the bass fishing is good. largemouth or smallmouth info would be great. when do the smallmouth typically spawn?
