Well opener is a week away and the weather currently in Eagle River is 39 degress with a nasty NE wind I guess I will be staying inside and finishing checking over equipment making sure rods and reels and tackle boxes are ready to go into another season.
As far a fishing it should be a great opener again this year depending on the weather. Most fish will be in spawning mode or moving into post spawn depending on the lake and water temps. My best suggestion is get on the shorelines where the wind has been blowing in for a day or so and pitch small jigs and minnows and you will find both walleyes and perch.
Good Luck
