Well here comes anouther opening day in Northern WI. Things are shaping up to be a great opener. Walleye should be in the shallows in 7 feet of water or less in and around old weed growth or even gravel shorelines on some lakes. Water temps are in the mid 40's and many lakes are still spawning. Use a Fathead minnow on a 1/16 oz jig, colors like Chart. Hot Org. and White all work well in our area. Remember to check local regulations for the lake your on some of them have changed, you don't want to start the season with a ticket. Don't forget the drain plug, I have already heared that one this year. Don't forget Guides Choice will be fully stocked Friday afternoon for all your opening day needs. Good luck to all hope to see you on the water.
