Double Tap

Trolled down by Menominee tonight from 3:30-9:00pm. Only one walleye caught. Haven't heard any reports down that way but believe it to be kinda slow. We were in 6-20 FOW with water temps fairly steady at about 47 degrees. Tried about 10 different baits-fish came on an orange rap at 6:30. Can't explain why it was so slow. Looks like it's blowing today so maybe Saturday we can make it out again. Anybody reports from Cedar River?

We actually went into the Menominee last Saturday and sunday and did fairly well. Picked up 20 Walleye. Talked with the C/O for a while and he figures that the spawn was pretty much done the week earlier and the suckers had moved in. Caught one dandy 30" (post spawn) the rest were nice solid males (19"-24") a few were still milking. I would think the bay would fire up this week. Lots of feeding fish to catch. We had H2O temps in the 46 to 48 degree range too.
