Windy! Windy! Windy! This pretty much sums up opening day in 3 words.
Well, the day started out on Lake Winneconne trolling small shad raps. On our first past we had 5 hits, but only boated 1 walleye. By our next pass the wind pick up and was producing choppy 2 footers. We ended up boating 1 more walleye and missing another before we decided the wind was to strong and we should make a move.
We packed up and went to New London. The wind still made fishing really tough, but we ended up boating 5 more walleyes with 2 bonus white bass to end the day on the river.
We ended the day with 7 walleyes and 2 white bass despite the tough conditions.
Good Luck
