Anyone have any experience/success using Gulp Alive artificial bait on the Flowage? I'm coming up next week and looking to catch mostly Walleye.

I tried the Gulps last weekend for walleye. I tried them next to a real minnow. Both were on jigs. The walleye were hitting short, and when they hit the Gulp tipped minnow, they would let go right away. With the real minnow, they would hang on for a while and give me a chance to get the walleye to bite. So from my limited experience of last weekend at least, I thought live minnows were much better.
I used the 2" chartruse minnow(per DonP's recommendation) Gulp in the plastic pouch, not the Gulp Alive! in the tub. (I didn't want to invest $20 in the tub until I had tried them out first)
Are the Gulp Alive in the tub the same as the Gulp in the pouch???
Maybe it depends on your fishing style. If you set the hook immediately, maybe the Gulps work better, but if you bring 'em in slow, the minnows sorked way better IMHO
