Last week Rich Komar and I fished off 95th St. and stayed within the reciprocol area. We got small smalmouth bass. Water was cold, still below 55 degrees. Fish came on crankbaits. Water was calm as there was only a mild wind.
Got back there again on Friday with John Morales. Same deal but even less wind. We got nothing on the lake although we saw some nice fish on the north wall. We also tried the north side of the north wall out on the lake. Nothing there and water was 52 degrees.
We went into the river and fished bridge pilings and riprap shores. Finally found a few smalies, nothing big, in the river in our final hour. Plastic worms worked.
