Walleye action late Sunday afternoon totally sucked to say the least. Working various wind blown shorelines containing boulders, stumps, etc, my 3 clients and I found nothing but a good number of aggressive pike along with some decent smallies. After working these area's for some time with no walleye action, we moved out to the 13 to 16 foot depths with lots of submerged stumps and laid down timber, here, vertical jigging Reeves weedless jigs tipped with fatheads, we managed to put 3 decent eyes and 2 nice jumbo perch in the well. We all agreed that the walleye took Mother's Day off. Back out there Monday for a morning trip with 1 client and we worked the same 13 to 16 foot depths and found a decent number of hungry eyes. Vertical jigging these same area's, we boated 8 eyes with 6 of them being good keepers.
