would like know if you can launch a 16 foot boat at the launch at rapid river have not been for a long time thanks

You should be able to launch your 16 ft. at Rapid River, although if you have not been up there in a long time, you still need to know where you are going with the overall lower water levels. The water is up from last year, but it will take even higher levels to run around all over like many years ago. I believe someone last year had jugs marking the way to come out of the launch. Not sure if they will be there again.

It would probably be better for you to put in at the Hunters Point Boat Launch in Stonington. That is where we put in and water levels are not an issue at all.

To answer your question I brought my friends 18 foot I/O in to the Rapid River launch to take it out today and as pleasently suprised and had no problem with the water levels coming in.
