Hockey tape wrap?

So Snizz decided he should put the butt of a hockey stick on the end of his diamondback and then wrap the cork with with hockey tape. He thinks he'll have a higher hooking percentage with this new application. What do all you think?

There are some pictures of it...i will put them up when I get them, but...as far as I can tell, it is going to work out swimmingly...

If you grab your rod with your left hand, how you normally would while casting, your wrist gets bent down because of your grip. Your pinkie and ring finger and that part of your palm do not rest naturally against the rod...with my new grip my entire hand is comfortable with no stress on my wrist...this will lower my chances for injury and fatigue, while increasing my casting distance and accuracy by 15-25%(estimated at this time)...

also, cuz I am a southpaw when it comes to retrieval, I have been burying the rod end into my right side...the cork cap that i did have on my rod fell off and the end was tearing my fat ass up...now I have a soft, comfortable end that locks the rod against my side and back so it reduces the mobility, stabilizing the rod, and will not constantly rub and irritate me...now when I go into a hookset on the side of the boat I will have a much stronger set with a better grip and better balance...
