Anyone looking for early salmon at Cedar River, Fairport, or Manistique?? Just wondering if anyone has been out this spring

Nothing yet, it's walleye world right now (and bass, too.) The very earliest I've ever heard of anyone getting kings is the first week of June. Usually it gets going in the 2nd or 3rd week of June - about the time the alewives come in to spawn.

They are starting to catch a few in Munising but the water temp is still a little low. There is a trout and samon tournament up there on the 23rd. I thing the Moose Lodge is putting it on.

They are killing the king salmon in Manistee, quite a drive from the UP but the action is top right now, 80-100 FOW.

There are some good catches in Sheboygan right now. Only a 3 hour trek.
