Water levels on the Cave are down to just a few feet above summer pool. The high water brought some excellent muskie fishing over the past 2 weeks. The fish are in the weeds and have been taken trolling and casting. Baits of choice have been Bulldawgs, Realfish, Madussa's and large blade baits like cowgirls and the new Esox Edge baits. Topwater have worked very early and late in the day. Trolling we have done well on Krushers, Leo's and Baby Depthraiders. A lot of floating debris has made it up the river and onto the main lake along with giant balls of floating weeds. Water temps are ranging from 72 to 76 with murky water found in most spots. Last week alone my boat took 4 over 40 and Scott landed a nice 50.5 incher Friday on a Realfish. Mountain Muskie Lodge guests and guides landed 29 muskies in 9 days most over 38 inches. The Cave has been awesome this spring.....
