With a couple of warm days we are seeing a trend to the shallows. Pike are being caught in good numbers by guests trolling large shallow bays, like the Hayfields. Husky jerks and spoons are taking fish as well as smaller spinners like a #4 Mepps. We have also had a couple of very nice Walleyes plucked out of the same waters.
Deeper water continues to be slow but those that are fishing the humps and rocky points out on the main lake are picking up an occassional hawg Walleye, three Walleyes over 26 have been taken on main lake structures in the past 2 days. I also found a couple of nice Bass pitching a jig and white grub to shoreline boulders.
Lastly we had a group of rowdys show up for dinner tonight in Tuxedos and drinking really expensive wine, I think they were celebrating the fact that the sun was out for a whole day and it didnt rain.
