Last weekend I got out with my good friend Joel Wick for the Northern Wisconsin opener. Working a long shoreline with some up and coming vegetation and a feeder creek is where Joel scored. A healthy 31-1/2 incher came on his flap-tail.
Also, we found some crappies in the shallows amongst the down trees or cattails.

I got out with Nels and Mike in search of some walleyes and crappies here on Petenwell. We were casting the shorelines with cranks and doing some vertical jigging with minnows. Mostly small walleyes with the exception on Nels’s 21.5 inch walleye and a nice crappie.
