The water level is still coming down great. The lake is only 1 1/2 feet about summer pool right now.
This has been a up and down spring from the start. But all and all it would rate a 8 out of 10 and I can only imagine what the fall will bring to us.
The fish are moving right now really well. It's hard to get the baits over the weeds like in the last 2 weeks but the fish have moved out just like they should on those weed edges. The lake is a little murkey because of boat traffic but mostly clear. The water temp is 73-76 which is pretty darn good for this time of year.
The bait choices have been EXO's, Bull Dawgs, Double Cowgirls, Turbines. Last night Crash and I got out last night for about hour and half and got 2 mid 30's on EXO's on the first spot. You might fish 10 places but if you stick with the weed edges and DONT have your boat over in them to far you will see and hopefully catch fish. Sometimes people get their boat in to close to the weeds and when that happens it will hinder the success.
We have some 1/2 day guide trips avaliable right now for June. Starting early am and going to noon before the heat starts. The next 10 days could just be the BEST fishing of the spring so far. Moved several big fish in last few weeks who knows what can happen on the big rubber baits.
If you go out this week make sure you stop in. Need to be out there early before daylight for the next 5 or 6 days a early morning buzz bait would not be a bad choice to try for an hour or so.
