Sunday's walleye action picked up as the winds slowed down for a change. Using Reeves weedless and regular barbed jigs in either 1/8th or 1/4th ounce tipped with fatheads, my 2 clients and I spent the morning hours drifting and vertical jigging in 13 to 15 feet of water over submerged timber and had very good success at it. We had our limits of nice size eyes not to mention several throwbacks by 11:30 and headed in for lunch. After a brief lunch, I took 2 other clients out to the same area and they had similar results, six nice keepers along with a few smaller throwbacks, all in a couple of hours.
Back out today, will keep you posted.
