Cool temperatures during the day and cold temperatures over night have slowed things down a bit, but there are still some fish being caught. I've found the majority of the fish in the morning hours holding off structure over deeper water. As the day progresses and the sun starts to warm the shallows the new weed growth and rocks have both been holding fish. I've been having plenty of follows throughout the day since things cooled down, but the feeding windows for catching fish are very short and you're probably only going to see a couple of widows a day. Small bucktails have been moving the most fish with 6" twitch baits coming in a close second, if there are two people in your boat running one of each is a good move. It's a good time to stay on spots you know are holding fish and hit them repeatedly throughout the day. Pay attention to moon rise, fish have shown increased activity just before moon rise the last few days had the only strike yesterday about 5 minutes before moon rise, unfortunately the fish got off. Musky fishing is probably going to be difficult until we get some warmer weather, but the fish still have to eat so being persistent will pay off if you stay on fish holding areas. Good Luck!
