The weather was better the last couple of days, more sun and less wind. The water temp has finally topped 50 degrees, it ended up at 51.5 today.
We were able to go down south, below the narrows today. We fished bass in the morning. They were up shallow on the rock points. We were taking the bass on crank baits and tubes.
We also found and good group of walleyes off the point of Starter Island.
They were hitting a jig and minnow combination in about 20 to 25 feet of water. We ended up with about 25 fish between 16 and 23 inches.
In the afternoon we tried to find some largerer pike but they have become rather few and far between for most people in camp. We found a few smaller one in the 20 to 25 inch range but nothing any bigger.
