Thursday's trip was canceled due to outboard problems, but Friday's trip went as planned and we had a bonus morning. Fishing once again with 3 of my dear inlaws, we found little walleye action in a couple of wind blown bays where we started out. We did manage to boat 1 nice keeper out of shallow wood, but for the most part, rock bass pretty much had charge of these areas. Our next move was to a sharp breaking shoreline that contained a good amount of rocks mixed with some wood and had great success. Using Reeves weedless jigs tipped with fatheads, 1/2 crawler, or Gulp Alive, we found our remaining 11 keeper eyes along this stretch in just over 1 hour of fishing. What a great ending to a their vacation.
