Kay and I were out for 2 1/2 hours on Thursday and did quite well. We worked live bait rigs along midlake humps and had a lot lot of short eyes, one 16 1/2 released, four crappie, a 35" northern, released, a bunch of white bass ( they are now soaking in brine for pickling) YUM! If you are not taking advantage of this great resource, you are missing out on a great treat.
We were out again on Friday and jigged a few spots but the bite was slow. No wind, flat calm and the bugs will drive you nuts. Trolled the area north of the island and had some small eyes, and a few nice white bass.

Marie and I are coming up for the week after we attend a baby shower Saturday. I expect we will be on the lake as often as possible. I'll look for ya.

I've got to get my fishing success turned around. My wife is not happy without walleye to eat.
