Schooling muskys on the chip

Fishing @ the bridge by Herman's & saw 6 or 7 muskies surfacing together. Hooked 1 immediately. They appeared to be following the river channel. Perhaps chasing a school of bait fish. Anyone ever observe this?

Are you 100% positive they were muskies. The carp are spawning right now and they are right on top in schools of six or seven at a time. I have never seen muskies schooling like that before.

This was last Sept. @ sunrise. The Fish were "porpoising" similar to muskys when they hit a surface lure. 1st cast of the day just to side of the action produced a hefty 44". They were moving from west to east just past the bridge.

I thought you meant they were in one school of 6 or 7. My bad. You meant they were in one general area porposing. I have seen that before but never right next to each other.
