Friday and Saturday brought completely different weather patterns along with a big difference in the walleye bite. On Friday, my client and I spent a half day out there in completely calm conditions with very little walleye action to show for it. We did pick up 6 real nice perch vertical jigging the cribs with 1/16th ounce Reeves weedless jigs tipped with a small piece of crawler along with a couple of hefty smallies. After trying some proven walleye spots with no luck, we then moved to the deep rocks, 16 feet and boated 6 eyes, 4 of which were nice keepers. On Saturday, my client and I done a late afternoon trip which lasted just under an hour as a big storm moved in on us. We did manage to boat 5 nice eyes on Reeves weedless jigs tipped with fatheads out of 4 feet of water with lots of submerged timber.
Back out today for another half day trip, will keep you posted.
