Escanaba river mouth 6/17

fished the from the mouth north to the old jet fuel dock and went 0/2 yep a big ol skunkeroo. got one fish to the surface and got a look at her and then she shook her head and laughed as she swam away. the other was lost as the board was taken off by me. oops. guess i gotta brush up on my crawler harness fishing both fish came on a firetiger perch colored floating minnow harness with a 3" gulp minnow. fished from 5:30 till 8:30pm in 20-35 fow marked most fish in 25-30 fow. harness came from BAY VIEW one of Chris's designs.

Diane and I trolled in the river a couple nights ago. We were running small crankbaits - #6 Husky Jerks, Micro Challengers, and Rebel Wee Craws. We ended up with 8 or 9 walleyes, and a small bass. Also lost several fish. Two of Diane's fish were nice eaters. Water temp is now around 70 degrees. Normally that's when the bite gets into high gear in there.

did OK trolling there with #9's and #11's ... went 3/4 but we fished 9pm-2am. the 3 we caught were all over 18"
