Tuesday's walleye action slowed down some after yet another major mayfly hatch on Monday night. Doing just a half day trip, my 2 clients and I worked a variety of humps and found all our action off two of them. Using Reeves weedless jigs tipped with a half crawler, we managed to boat 5 nice eyes along with 2 big smallies. We did have another 5 or so good eyes on that got off before we could net them, all in all, not a bad morning considering all the mayfly's out there.
Back out today in the hottest and most humid day of the year so far, hoping the fish are more active and also hoping that I have enough ice and cold water along, will keep you posted.
