Lake Delavan, Lake Geneva and Southern WI Areas
7/17/16 – Delavan Lake, cloudy with thunderstorms then sunny, 82 degrees, W winds at 25 mph, water temp 77 degrees. Caught 1 northern, 1 walleye, 1 smallmouth, and 10 largemouth, the largest was 5 lbs. The walleye and largemouth bass were caught on night crawlers fished on a lindy rig in 13-14 ft of water. The northern was caught on a lindy rigged medium sucker.
7/16/16 Lake Geneva, sunny, 70 degrees, SW winds at 10 mph, water temp 77 degrees. Caught 9 largemouth bass, 1 northern pike The best location was by the Harvard Club in 17 ft. of water .
7/15/16 Lake Mendota, sunny, 78 degrees, SW winds at 10 mph, water temp 75 degrees. Caught 11 walleye, 3 smallmouth a handful of panfish. Most of the fish were caught in 8- 10 ft of water pulling bottom bouncers and split shot spinners with leeches or Gulp Worms.
7/13/16 Lake Geneva, cloudy, 65 degrees, NW winds at 10 mph, water temp 77 degrees. Caught 7 largemouth bass, 2 northern and a handful of bluegills. The bass and bluegills came off of split shot rigged night crawlers in 15-17 ft of water.
7/11/16 Lake Koshkonong, sunny, 85 degrees, W wind at 15 mph, water temp 76 degrees. Caught 8 walleyes, 4 cat fish, 1 pike, and a bunch of bluegills. The best depth was 6 ft of water pulling split shot spinners
7/10/16 Delavan Lake, sunny, 80 degrees, winds S at 15 mph, water temp 76 degrees. Caught 1 walleye, 6 largemouth and 1 smallmouth bass. The fish were being caught on split shot rigged night crawlers fished off the weed edge in 16 ft of water.
7/9/16 Delavan Lake, sunny, 75 degrees, NW wind at 15 mph, water temp 76 degrees. Caught 8 largemouth, 2 smallmouth and 11 bluegills. The best depth was 13-16 ft of water. All the fish were caught on a small split shot rig night crawler or Texas rigged 8" purple power worm.
7/5/16 Lake Monona, sunny, 80 degrees, SW wind 16 to 20 mph, water temp 73 degrees. Caught 5 largemouth bass, 1 walleye and a dozen bluegills. The best location was by Convention Center in 15-17 ft of water. There was fish caught on a split shot rigged night crawler or leech.
