    Default 10/19 Musky Hunt

The forecast told us it was probably going to be a tough day with low water and super bright skies so we downsized 2 of the 3 rods hoping that would help us get bit. We got 2 bites but neither were muskies…..1 smallish pike and 1 big smallie in the 5 pound range. We did not see another Esox all day. My gang fished hard and we had a great time.

The bass ate a mini-jointed headshaker and the pike ate a Rapala swimbait. No fishing for me today unless they stocked some muskies at my local golf course.

I did not turn my sonar on all day so not sure of the exact water temp. Sometimes fishing “dark” can make a noticeable difference especially in tough weather situations.

    Good luck and stay tuned!
